For as long as I can remember, travel has been my passion. It started with simple road trips, the thrill of seeing where the road would take me, and the excitement of discovering new people, cultures, and perspectives. As I grew older, travel became more than just an adventure—it was a way to challenge myself, to step outside my comfort zone, and grow.

Even after starting a family, I made travel a priority. I wanted my loved ones to experience the same joy and sense of wonder I’d found on my journeys. My home country of Canada, once a land of possibilities, was becoming increasingly expensive. The US was no better. Inflation, politics, and the cost of living felt like constant hurdles. And my savings, or should I say "lack" of savings, no longer felt like enough. The fear of outliving my money was very real. The golden years I had envisioned seemed more like a struggle.

Now, my wife and I are taking the next step—we’re spending time in our chosen destination, getting to know the culture, people, and lifestyle. We're preparing for a retirement that feels like a new beginning, not an ending.
